School of Architecture Intervention

This project was an introduction to Grasshopper,
an add-on for the Rhinoceros 3D modeling program that creates generative algorithms. The program had to be used to create an intervention within the School of Architecture. Due to the open space of the atrium, I inserted some sculpted forms with an overhead lattice.

Platform:Frame:Box
​
A light study done in the last semester, to create three boxes that manipulated light to illustrate the concept of a platform, frame, and box.
Lux ARCHana
​
A series of ink drawings done in the last semester, that captured moments of light and dark whilst traveling through Italy and some parts of Switzerland. Starting with The Fool, each illustration depicts a part of the major arcana. The correlations between the images and where they lie in the major arcana range from conspicuous imagery to theoretical interpretation.
Grasshopper node setup. Each Element is assigned a node sequence and is transformed depending on the node connections and numerical value input.
An element of stability, an enabler of performance and promulgation. It calls attention to itself and to those who seek it.
The frame is a place of stillness that encases a moment, an idea, or a tactile element.
A limitation on conventionality. A box contains, as this encases a duality, one of light and one that holds darkness.
